How to Spot Quality CBD: A Colorado Shop's Honest Checklist

Walk into any gas station and you will find CBD on the counter next to the energy shots. Walk into a dispensary and you will find a wall of it. So how do you actually tell the good stuff from the junk? After years of doing this in Greeley, here is the honest checklist we wish every shopper had.
1. Look for "full spectrum"
Full spectrum means the whole hemp plant is kept intact: CBD plus the supporting compounds like CBG and CBN, and the plant's natural terpenes. Cheaper products are often CBD isolate, just one molecule stripped of everything else. Full spectrum is the version we make, because we like keeping the plant whole and as nature grew it.
2. Ask for the lab report (the COA)
This is the single biggest tell. Every quality CBD product should come with a Certificate of Analysis, a COA, which is a third-party lab report showing exactly what is in the bottle. If a shop cannot show you one, walk away. When you read a COA, look for three things:
The cannabinoid amounts match the label (if it says 1000mg, the report should back it up).
A pass on the contaminant panel: pesticides, heavy metals, and solvents all within safe limits.
A recent date and a real, named lab, not a screenshot from who-knows-when.
We third-party test everything we carry, and we are always happy to put the report in your hands.
3. Know where it was grown
Hemp is a bioaccumulator, which is a fancy way of saying it soaks up whatever is in its soil, good and bad. That is why source matters. Our hemp is Colorado-grown on farms we actually trust, in a state with some of the strictest hemp standards in the country. "Grown in Colorado" is not just local pride for us, it is a quality control decision.
4. Read the ingredient list
Flip the bottle over. A good product has a short, clean ingredient list you can actually pronounce, things like MCT oil, the hemp extract, and a natural flavor. If you see a paragraph of fillers and mystery additives, that is your sign to keep looking.
5. Buy from people who will actually talk to you
This might be the most underrated one. A good CBD shop will ask what you are looking for, explain the difference between products, and never oversell you. We are a small, veteran-owned shop in Greeley, and we would genuinely rather point you to the right product than move the most expensive one. Come in, call us, ask us anything.
The short version
Full spectrum. A real lab report. Colorado-grown. A clean label. And a shop that treats you like a neighbor, not a number. Hit those five and you are buying quality, whether it is from us or anyone else.
The fine print
These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Full-spectrum products contain trace THC and may appear on a drug test. Must be 21+ to purchase.
